SELF-CARE: Take a minute to reflect on what you need to lower you stress level during the day. Then do what you can to make it happen, with yourself or with the help of a partner. Model self-care for your children! Show them that taking care of yourself should be a priority.
PARENTING TIP: Encourage cooperation for an activity a child is refusing to do (like putting on PJs) by using one of the 4 magic tools below: Make it a game, make it a song, make it silly, or make it a choice!
INDOOR ACTIVITY: Swimming :) Put on your suit and hop in the bath. It doesn’t need to be the end of the day to enjoy water play.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITY: Water painting! Give your child a brush and a bucket of water. Watch the sidewalk or fence change color as the paint. No clean up required!!!
